Hand Forged Spear Pendant

Design
Although the spear is less remembered by history in comparison to the sword or the axe, it was probably the most common Viking weapon available (a spear head would be cheaper to produce than a sword).
Spears would vary in length and could be used as distance weapons as well as for close range general combat.
Amulets of spears have been found in Viking Age graves, possibly due to their affiliation with Odin's great weapon Gungnir. These were often worn for lifetime and passed down over generations (unless they were buried with the wearer upon death).
Material & Make
This item has been hand forged in England from steel at the Great Ash Forge Smithy. For anyone unfamiliar with the forging process, this has been created entirely with fire, a hammer and an anvil. Although quite small, this piece took great effort and time to create.
All of Max's raw materials are sourced in the UK.
Because these pieces are hand made, there may be slight variations from the product picture.
This pendant comes attached on an adjustable leather cord.
