Bindrune of Wisdom | Organic Tank Top
Sorry, currently out of stock
DESIGN
This design was created by Villkat Arts to feature a subtle but unique bindrune hand printed in dark grey.
Amongst ancient Nordic symbols, bindrunes convey complex meaning through seemingly simple structure. Many people discover new messages within bindrunes even after knowing them for years, which is believed by some to be the "magical" intent of these inscriptions.
Specifically, Ash featured the runes Algir and Othala. Embedded within is also Tiwaz, symbolising the god Tyr and his acts of sacrifice for the greater good. You can also find Gebu, which is related to the idea of giving. Paired with concepts of homeland and connection to spirit, or gods as some may call them, this bindrune is designed to remind us of our place in spiritual and physical realm, as active creators of our own future.
Famously in Hávamál, Odin gives himself to himself, eventually reaching down to discover wisdom (and the runes themselves). The landscape we navigate today once belonged to ancient people, whose wisdom is close to being lost. We can connect with our land, home, and ancient wisdom by staying present with these concepts and using them to navigate our modern world.
Perhaps the power of bindrune symbols is their reminder that we are our own teachers, and that a deep and reflective perspective cultivates true wisdom.
