The Green Man | Organic Hoodie
Sorry, currently out of stock
Product Description
This hoodie was designed by Ash of Villkat Arts to feature three winding oak leaf pieces - a triskele on the chest, an enormous Green Man on the back, and a winding oak branch on the arm. It is available in gold and deep green.
The connection we have with nature appears in mythology and lore across the ages, and can be seen in iconography globally.
Whether the Green Man speaks to you about the coming of spring, the darkness of winter, or summer abundance, there’s no doubt this oak embedded elder reminds us to stop and remember that we are rooted in the natural cycles of the world.
Creatures like Jack in the Green and faces buried in foliage have been hidden in buildings and decorative motifs from the Iron Age to the current era. The classical writers describe oak trees as sacred to the druids, and some say Thor is affiliated with the concept of sacred oaks in ancient Germanic traditions as well.
