This design by Villkat Arts depicts the classic sunwheel, as found in petroglyphs globally.

Within Scandinavia and the British Isles, it is found from the Neolithic to the Bronze and Iron Ages. Its true original meaning was likely varied, but it seems to be associated with the sun, or even the wheel of the horse-drawn chariots said to carry the sun through the sky in ancient religions. In snow storms especially it can appear to create a crossed pattern in the sky, which would have been a significant sighting for the ancients.
